  • Each contestant must pay a yearly club membership fee of $50 (13 years and older) and $20 (12 years and under).
  • Tournament entry fee will be $50.00 per person and will include stringer and big bass.
  • There will be 8 placement tournaments plus a 2 day Classic Championship in October. 
  • Member must fish 6 of 8 placement tournaments to qualify to fish the Classic.  If member can only fish 5 tournaments, they will be allowed to pay for 1 missed tournament and still qualify to fish the Classic. 
  • Fishing will begin 30 minutes before official sunrise and weigh-in will be at 3:00 p.m.  You must be in line by 3:00 p.m. with your fish in hand or you will not be able to weigh-in your fish.
  • Every contestant must pay entry fee and sign entry form before fishing the tournament.  No exceptions.
  • All fish brought to weigh-in line must be 14 inches minimum for largemouth bass or state regulations or  Kentucky or spotted bass and meet all Texas Parks & Wildlife regulations for that lake.  If not, it will result in disqualification. 
  • All fish will be measured with mouth shut.  Pro Rule will be the measuring device for tournament weigh-in. 
  • Contestants will be allowed to check their measuring device against the Club devise 15 minutes prior to the weigh-in.  5 fish bag limit per person.
  • There will be 1/2 lb. deducted from stringer weight for each dead fish you bring to weigh-in.  No ice fish will be allowed.
  • Lake Off Limits Rule Updated:  Contestants must be off the lake by 6:00 p.m the day before each tournament. 
  • Trailoring will be allowed.  You can fish by boat, tube or wading.
  • No guide will be allowed to fish a lake that he/she has guided within the year. 
  • Any individual that entered a tournament with an entry fee of $500.00 or more in the past year may not compete in club tournaments.
  • Artificial lures only, except pork rind. 
  • No trolling allowed.
  • All Texas Parks & Wildlife fishing and boating rules and regulations must be obeyed.  Life jackets must be worn when boat is on plane.
  • Protest:  Any contestant wishing to file a protest of another contestant must do so in writing within 5 miniutes after the official weigh-in is over.
  • Weigh-in will not begin without a committee member present.  No committee member will be allowed to weigh-in his/her own fish.
  • Polygraph test may be given at the discretion of the tournament committee.
  • Any person caught cheating will be disqualified from all club tournaments.
  • All fish weighed in will become the property of Metroplex Bass Club for live release with the exception of trophy fish.
  • Any rule clarification, written or otherwise, will be handled by the tournament committee and their decision is final.
  • Membership may be refused to any person for any reason by the tournament committee and their decision is final.

Youth specific rules (12 years and under)

  • Tournament entry fee will be $25.00 per person and will include stringer and big bass.
  • 100% total payout at each tournament.  Payout will be based on entries.
  • If no fish are weighed in, money will be held and paid out at next tournament.
